Our experience shows that with large committees not everyone will get along. Not everyone will have the same goals in mind when it comes to the conference. Not everyone will practice principles before personalities. The sole purpose of this committee is to make sure we keep our 12th tradition in the forefront of all our business matters.
Our 12th Tradition states:
Anonymity is the spiritual foundation of all our traditions,
ever reminding us to place principles before personalities
There are many different prayers we use for our meeting. here are some examples:
Our father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day, our daily bread, forgive us our trespasses as we forigive those who treaspass against us.And lead us not into temptation. But deliver us from evil, for thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory, forever and ever. amen.
God, grant me the serenity, to accept the thing i cannot change, the courage to change the things that i can, and the wisdom to know the difference.
"My creator, I am now willing that you should have all of me, good and bad. I pray that you now remove from me every single defect of character which stands in the way of my usefulness to you and my fellows. Grant me strength, as I go out from here, to do your bidding. Amen."
God, I offer myself to Thee--to build with me and to do with me as Thou wilt. Relieve me of the bondage of self, that I may better do Thy will. Take away my difficulties, that victory over them may bear witness to those I would help of Thy Power, Thy Love, and Thy Way of Life. May I do Thy will always!
